PDS Documentary to Debut Next Month Have you signed up to attend the launch and celebration of our new documentary? The premier is almost here! Creating Lifelong Learners: Parents Driving Positive Change in Today’s Education will debut August 20th in Sacramento at the California Auto Museum. View the invitation here. Not going to be in Sacramento on August 20th? You can still participate by signing up to receive our Parent Driven Schools Drive-in Viewing Party Kit. The kit includes the DVD, a PDS T-shirt, information on how to host a viewing party, and a handbook to help you get started creating your student’s Interest and Abilities Map (IAM). Choosing to use the IAM engages parents, students and teachers in a process that shifts students from passive to empowered learners. Empowered learners become lifelong learners, able to master new skills as the world changes. Get started now! For such a powerful tool, the IAM process is easy to begin. Call 800-979-4436 to request a viewing party kit or email mpayne@parentdrivenschools.com to RSVP to the documentary launch celebration at the California Auto Museum.
Blog Talk Radio: The PIT Crew Conversations At Parent Driven Schools, we provide various resources for information such as newsletters, web sources, and most recently a channel on BlogTalkRadio called, “The PIT Crew Conversations.” The PIT Crew (Parents Involved Together) was created as a communication channel for parents to voice their opinions and listen to other’s advice about overcoming obstacles. We believe this channel helps parents move forward in creating the right choices for their student’s current education situation. Guests on the show vary from parent coaches to educational researchers and teachers who offer tips and support for parents. The PIT Crew conversations are available for you live via BlogTalkRadio, or anytime at your convenience, by clicking on the various weekly topics listed on the Parent Driven Schools website. Each parent contributes to the positive changes in education by connecting to their child’s learning environment locally; and sharing advice regionally and globally through the internet and social media platforms like BlogtalkRadio.com. Join our conversation on BTR, Facebook and Twitter. Together we can drive postive change in education!

"Everyone agrees that the failure of our high schools is tragic. It’s bad business, and it’s bad policy. But we act as if it can’t be helped. It can be helped. We designed these high schools; we can redesign them." –– Melinda Gates |
